Billy is an award-winning freelance film editor and graduate of 

The National Film and Television School.

His short documentary Happy: The Elephant in the Courtroom won the BAFTA Student Award for Best Documentary in July 2023.  They were the first crew from the UK to win in the last 5 years.

​

Earlier this year his short film Bandits won Gold at the Cannes Lions, and he was also nominated for Best Editor at the National Youth Film Awards for his work on Rave.

​

Previously as a documentary director, his short film Tough Love 

was nominated at the RTS and Grierson Awards for Best Student Documentary.

​

His short films have played at Oscar and BAFTA qualifying festivals across the world.
